Indian students in Canada passed away due to a cardiac arrest, prompting their families to reach out to EAM Jaishankar for assistance in bringing back the mortal remains.

A heartbreaking incident occurred as an Indian student, originally from Hyderabad, passed away from cardiac arrest while studying in Canada. Amjad Ullah Khan, a leader of the Telangana-based Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) party, shared this news on social media last Friday.

The student, identified as Shaik Muzammil Ahmed, aged 25, was enrolled in a Master’s program in IT at Conestoga College, Waterloo Campus in Kitchener City, Ontario.

Khan informed that Ahmed’s family has reached out to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, seeking assistance in repatriating his remains to Hyderabad.

Khan stated that Ahmed had been dealing with a fever for the past week. However, his family was shocked to receive the news of his passing through a call from Ahmed’s friend, who cited cardiac arrest as the cause.

The MBT leader also shared the family’s letter addressed to EAM Jaishankar, requesting assistance during this challenging time.

“On X, Khan wrote: “One Shaik Muzammil Ahmed, aged 25, from Hyderabad, Telangana State, pursuing a Masters in IT at Conestoga College, Waterloo Campus in Kitchener City, Ontario, Canada since December 2022, was suffering from a fever for the past week.
